From Update Philippines (May 13): LOOK: Armed Forces heightens security in Palawan

The Western Command (WESCOM) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines have stepped up presence with other government force in Sabang Wharf, and nearby places particularly those the tourists go to. Tours to Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park in Palawan remains fully booked, according to WESCOM.

This is amid travel advisory issued by number of foreign governments due to threat of abduction by local terrorist group.

WESCOM said security forces also conducted seaborne patrol up to Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR). A long line of guests were seen waiting for their turn.
