The 2nd Division just launched its tree planting activities inside Camp Capinpin with different kinds of trees to help in the government’s greening program.

More than 2,000 fruit bearing and non-fruit bearing trees were planted by the Jungle Fighters today, May 4, 2017, at 5:30 in the morning. Various civic groups like the Rotary Clubs were also tapped to increase awareness on the need to protect and rehabilitate the environment.

Meanwhile, MGen Rhoderick Parayno, the Commander of 2nd Division stressed the importance of the said undertaking.

“As much as we protect our people and our sovereignty, we also have to protect our environment for the benefit of everyone and of the coming generations,” said MGen Parayno.
