AFP still under 'white alert' for Holy Week

From the Philippine News Agency (Apr 10): AFP still under 'white alert' for Holy Week

Military alert level in Metro Manila remains at "white" or the lowest possible as it is yet to detect any security threat for the Holy Week.

"(Alert levels) is still at 'white'. It is still normal at the National Capital Region. Area commanders have the say elsewhere in the country based on their existing security situation," Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesperson Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla in an interview with the Philippine News Agency Monday.

"White alert" is followed by "blue" which means that 50 percent of all available troops and vehicles must be available for instant deployment, and "red", the highest, means 100 percent of all personnel and assets must be ready for immediate deployment if needed.
