From Update.Ph (Mar 1): 108 New Army Privates deployed to line battalions
108 New Philippine Army privates who completed the Candidate Soldier (CS) ‘Manliyab’ Class 422-2016 were sent off to the line battalions under 10the Infantry Division.
The send off ceremony was conducted at the 10ID Grandstand February 28.
“10ID commander Major General Rafael C Valencia, the Guest of Honor and Speaker of the ceremony reminded the Army privates that soldiers are ‘agents of persons in authority’, as such, soldiers are also ‘agents of the President in securing our country’,” 10ID said.
Major General Valencia said that soldiers should respect the persons in authority which includes the local government officials of provinces, municipalities and barangays.
He reiterated his reminder for the new soldiers to take care of their family, finances, career, and chose their future partners in life wisely.
10ID is operating under the command of Armed Forces of the Philippines Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM). EASTMINCOM conducts Conventional and Unconventional Warfare, and Anti-Guerrilla Operations.
It also conducts Peace and Development Outreach in Communities to enlighthen the people about NPA Propaganda Units’ deception and exploitations.
