PMA alumni homecoming memorable, meaningful for PNP chief

From the Philippine News Agency (Feb 18): PMA alumni homecoming memorable, meaningful for PNP chief

The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Alumni Homecoming this year was memorable and meaningful for Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

Dela Rosa said that this was the first time that he attended the PMA Alumni Homecoming as PNP chief.

Dela Rosa was a graduate of PMA Class 1986.

Dela Rosa said that this was also the last time that he would attend as an active member of the PMA because he would be a civilian already next year.

The PNP chief is set to retire from the service on Jan. 21, 2018 when he reaches the mandatory retirement age of 56 in the police service.

Meanwhile, Dela Rosa was not surprised that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was adopted as an honorary member of the PMA Alumni Association, Inc. (PMAAAI).

Dela Rosa said that he was not anymore surprised in PMAAAI’s adoption of the President because the President was close to the organization.

Duterte was an adopted member of PMA Dimasupil Class of 1967.

Likewise, PNP chief believes that the policemen would even strive even better in their work as the President is now an honorary member of the PMAAAI because it would be shameful if they would not do their work well.
