Army produces 108 new soldiers

From the Philippine Information Agency (Feb 2): Army produces 108 new soldiers

TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte - - Some 108 candidate-soldiers graduated on Tuesday (January 31) from the 10th Infantry Division Training School.

In a ceremony held at the 10th ID Grandstand in Mawab town, Major General Raphael Valencia led the official enlistment of the 108 candidate soldiers of the ‘Maliyab Class 422-2016 to a rank of Private.

According to 10ID Spokesperson Capt. Rhyan Batchar, the candidate soldiers underwent six months training on basic military and jungle survival courses including character building and leadership skills courses.

Capt. Batchar said that the soldiers will be issued with a long-arm and are now ready to be assigned to the different battalions.

He added that once they are in the battalion, they will also be assigned to assist in the community outreach and development programs of the military.
