‘Supremo’ is currently in Davao City

Philippine Navy’s third Gregorio del Pilar-class frigate named after Kataas-taasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan “Supremo”, BRP Andres Bonificio (FF-17) is currently in Davao City.

The said warship is currently docked at Sasa wharf, Sasa, Davao City. The warship is conducting an Open House for public until tomorrow, January 30.
 
BRP Andres Bonifacio is on shakedown mission of its personnel. The mission, is a maiden mission that will test endurance at sea and operability of newly-installed ship’s equipment.

Moreover, a total of 30 members of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 2017, who have decided to join the Navy after graduation, are on board the BRP Andres Bonifacio for their sea phase training.

“Further, aboard FF-17 were the Philippine Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Team (PMC, DBT) that will showcase musical performance to local populace of each port of call,” Philippine Navy (PN) spokesperson Captain Lued Lincuna said.
