Pinoy cadet at West Point recognized

From Update.Ph (Dec 5): Pinoy cadet at West Point recognized

United States Military Academy (USMA), also known as West Point, Filipino cadet Don Stanley ‘DS’ Dalisay was selected for the 2017 Schwarzman scholarship. He was chosen together with 5 American cadets. He is a economics and operations research major with a minor in grand strategy at West Point.

Schwarzman Scholars are awarded will be undergoing one-year Master’s Degree program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, one of China’s most prestigious universities and an indispensable base for the country’s scientific and technological research.

“Scholars chosen for this highly selective program will live in Beijing for a year of study and cultural immersion, attending lectures, traveling, and developing a better understanding of China,” said in the official social networking page of West Point.

Dalisay spent his first year (Fourth Class) at the Philippine Military Acedemy. He was president and top of his class at PMA. Prior to entering PMA, he gained his degree in Public Health from the University of the Philippines Manila.

He will be serving the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
