NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – Joint Task Force Haribon will have its new Commander in the person of Col Gilbert I. Gapay who will be assuming the Command on Dec 15, 2016 at 2PM in a military ceremony at Naval Station, Panacan Davao City.

His assumption came after BGen. Ronnie Evangelista assumed as Commander of the Civil Relations Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines based in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
 
Prior to his assumption, Col. Gapay was the former Assistant Division Commander of the Mechanized Infantry Division, Philippine Army and Brigade Commander in Lanao Provinces.
 
His vast experience being assigned in various positions in the AFP is expected to infuse innovations and security concepts of Joint Task Force Haribon in securing Mega Davao.
 
Col. Gapay is an aviator and armor officer. He is a member of PMA Class 1986 where he graduated on top of his class. He is also the concurrent Deputy Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command.
