Joint Task Force Haribon, the Davao City-based anti-terror unit under the operational control of Eastern Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines has conducted a showcase of assets and capabilities.
 
Joint Task Force Haribon’s activation last month came amid the changing security landscape in Davao City with its emergence as the alternate seat of government and a venue for international events. The said joint task force is also assisting the Presidential Security Group in securing President Rodrigo Duterte.

It is in command of Task Force Davao and Task Group Samal as its land component, while Task Force 71, which includes the Navy Special Operations Unit of the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao, comprises the joint task force’s naval component.

Additionally, elements from the Tactical Operations Group XI and the Special Operations Wing of the Philippine Air Force comprises its air component.
