Regular naval, reserve forces to undergo interoperability exercise

From Update.Ph (Nov 15): Regular naval, reserve forces to undergo interoperability exercise

To ensure the seamless integration of regular naval and reserve units, the Philippine Navy (PN) announced that it will be conducting “Exercise Pagsasama” starting Nov. 14 to 18. To take part in the training activity are PN regular and reserve units detailed in the National Capital Region, Northern and Southern Luzon.

Naval Reserve Command spokesperson Col. Rocky Rosario said the five-day exercise aims to enhance the inter-operability of regular and reservist units during emergency situations.
He added that the training activity will be held in Ternate, Cavite.

“With this year’s objective to further enhance the capabilities of our nation’s reserve force, once again, in its 19th iteration, this year’s exercise focuses on giving the opportunity to the reservists to learn from their counterparts on naval tactics and doctrines and to enhance inter-operability between the regular and the reserve component of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,” Rosaria stressed.

He added the annual exercise highlights the commitment of the PN to protect the country from lawless maritime elements and pave the way towards peace and development.
