Brig. Gen. Jon N. Aying, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1984, was appointed Thursday to command the Capiz-based 3rd Infantry Division.

The Sara, Iloilo native's acceptance of command ceremonies was presided by Philippine Army commander Lt. Gen. Eduardo M. Año.
